Experience Hello Kitty Land

If you are at all familiar with Asia, you must be aware of the popularity of the Japanese fictional character, Hello Kitty.  Created and introduced by the Japanese company Saniro in 1974, the Hello Kitty is portrayed as a female white Japanese bobtail cat. This rather cute character has now gone on to become a worldwide phenomenon and draws legions of little and not so little girl fans everywhere.

Malaysia’s Puteri Harbor Family Theme park, a 60,000 square foot indoor facility located in Nusujaya, in the Iskandar township of Johor, inaugurated the first Saniro Hello Kitty Town outside of Japan in October 2012. This newest Hello Kitty Land was soon declared a runaway hit as crowds thronged to the park to experience the magic of the Hello Kitty character first-hand.

What to expect at Hello Kitty Land?

Hello Kitty Land offers various walk-through attractions, play structures, several interactive activities and Hello Kitty-themed rides onsite.

The main attractions of Hello Kitty Land include:-

·         The Kitty House – an iconic Hello Kitty themed house equipped with a living room, bedroom, bathroom and kitchen.

·         The ‘Purrfect’ stage a live performance platform which features characters like Hello Kitty, My Melody, Little Twin Stars and others.

·         The Wishful Studio where kids can learn to make costume jewelry, play dress up at the photo studio and visit the nail salon to adorn their nails with Sanrio characters nail art. Kids can also make their very own Hello Kitty doll at the doll factory or even bake a Hello Kitty shaped cookie at the Cookie Studio.

·         At the Friendship Land playground kids can take teacup rides or then cement their Hello Kitty Land moments by taking photos with Hello Kitty and her friends.

·         Black Thunder a ride which provides a high-tech, themed experience

·         The Apple and Strawberry party rooms which offer the chance for kids to celebrate their birthdays with Hello Kitty and her friends.

• Closed on Tuesday except during school holiday and public holiday

Getting to Hello Kitty Land

Hello Kitty Land can be easily accessed from Kuala Lumpur via the North South Plus Highway.

Directions

·         Take exit 253 to Senai Airport/ Tuas and proceed to Exit 311.

·         Follow the way to Kota Iskandar

·         Continue towards Kota Iskandar and the drive on to Puteri Harbor

·         Hello Kitty Land is located near Puteri Harbor and  the Traders Hotel.
